Our well established client who specialise in
offering support to vulnerable people are looking for Support/Care
workers to help in their new homes based in Tonbridge and Maidstone
(incl. East Peckham and Langley)
You duties will include:
Working within a Person Centred framework and ensuring that care plans
reflect the needs of individuals.
To actively involve families of the individuals in matters pertaining to
care and well being of the client.
To ensure all of our clients Policies and Procedures are followed
To ensure high standards of care are maintained at all times.
To ensure all necessary precautions taken in relation to Health and
Safety of the individual and visitors are followed in accordance with
statutory and local policies
Assist the Home Manager in developing and implementation of Care
Programmes and their reviews, ensuring the needs of the individuals are
met.
To involve and encourage full participation of the individuals in all
aspects of the running of their home, offering choices and new
opportunities.
Report any deficiencies of the services of any nature to the Home
Manager.
To assist with the regular supervision of residents’ meetings.
To ensure all medications is stored, controlled, administered and
recorded as prescribed by the G.P and adhering to policy.
To ensure the property of the home and individual is well maintained and
that up to date inventories are kept.
You must have a minimum 2 year background in caring for those with
learning and physical disabilities and be competent in manual handling.
Shift work will be involved including earlies 7am-3pm, lates 2pm-10pm
and will include sleep inns on a rotational basis.
