Our growing client has acquired several new Disability Care homes and
requires several Care Home Managers for their homes around Langley-
A relevant nursing qualification RNMH/RNLD or NVQ Level 4 / RMA is
needed along with a strong commitment to the principles of normalisation
and the ethos of community care for people with a learning disability. A
prime function of the Home Manager is to ensure that the Service will
foster the continuing development of each individual’s abilities within
the framework of social integration and provide the same varied range of
opportunities and new experiences as is available to other people within
the community. The emphasis must be on creating, as near as possible, a
substitute for an ordinary family home.
As the Home Manager your role will include:
Overseeing staff rotas for the house ensuring safe cover at all times,
which effectively meets the needs of the service. Participating in
sleep-ins and on-call duties, as directed, to ensure continuity for the
service
Partake in aspects relating to the daily lives of the client e.g.
domestic activities etc and ensures any maintenance requirements for the
house and any Health & Safety issues are addressed.
The Home Manager is accountable for the agreed budgets for the house as
per agreed financial procedures for The Trust.
Will work unsupervised for the vast majority of the time, having regular
IPR’s with the Service Manager, to allow two way feed back on service
development.
To participate in clinical supervision.
To be responsible for ensuring team members adhere to the operational,
quality assurance, clinical governance and Policies and Procedures of
the Trust and procedures of the Service at all times, e.g. adult
protection, medication etc.
Full driving licence, without restrictions and willingness to drive
service vehicles will be essential.

Hours-Earlies 7am-3pm Lates 2pm-10pm and sleep inns on a rota basis.
